Fishing the Harris Chain of Lakes

September 1, 2004

weather: clear cloudy hot rain sunny
water: mediumlevels

Good news! We are starting to experience some activity during the day time hours. Water temperatures are begining to decline and our water levels have increased since Hurricane Charley. It's still pre-spawn but the activity in Bass has increased dramatically in the past 2 weeks. We're looking forward to a blockbuster season with Bass and Crappie catches, starting this month. This will increase as the Fall provides cooler temperatures and spawning activity October through January and beyond. Last year we experienced the best spawn in 25 years. This year should be even better with our lakes returning to the healthy enviroment it once had. The local Bassmasters tournament will be held in October and they can't wait! The pros will be here for the first tournament of the year in January and we expect they will exceed last years increase in total weight which was substancial compared to years before.
Now is the time to book your reservations! We have several boats available and also acommodate those who wish to take our Silver Springs Adventure Tour. A 10 hour round trip full of wildlife and an adventure at every turn.

Please Catch and Release! Keep our Lakes clean and healthy for generation to come!!!
